This has been some of the cleanest ball striking I have seen for a while. I just can't see the Scorchers even reaching the current total of 157..

Wow, this is some epic acceleration from Otago. An outside chance of 220+ if they really click in these last 4 overs.

this could be famous last words but this otago side, despite containing many of the same players, is nothing like the sorry unit who **** on the carpet of the first two editions of this tournament several years back. NZ 20/20 appears to have come along a bit in the past couple of years.

we're probably watching the only nz team who will play on international tv this year that knows what the concept of strike rotation is.

Yeah and this Otago side is missing their two frontline quicks from last season. It's a team with fantastic depth...but it also **** over everyone in the HRV cup, so I'm not sure if we can be that ****ey about the overall standards of NZ T20.

Auckland has many of the same players they took to the champions league and they came no where.

though tbf matt quinn was quite a handicap.

i do agree there was quite a big gap between some of the teams. CD couldn't put together a white ball middle order to save themselves without ross.

Yeah, and Wellington - the runners up - were basically entirely reliant on Jesse Ryder just closing his eyes and having a swing.

That music they are playing after every six is really getting on my nerves.

Red and yellow, red and yellow..............

Load of **** that abandoned matches without a ball being bowled count as a debut.

Anyway, solid partnership this one from the Volts. I think they are in line for a score of about 145 still.
Just noticed my typo. I meant 245 obviously :whistling

Well done Volts this has just been brutal against a bowling attack who have lost its nerve.

FMD this is an absolute monster score...has any NZ t20 team ever scored more than 242?

i still dont know how such a **** team made the final ahead of the likes of auckland

going to be so sweet seeing wellington trying to get by without jesse

imagine if the volts make this comp next year when they have jesse in their team...
