End of Over 35: 193-3, runrate=5.51
Welsh 6-0-24-0
Hutchinson* 36 (50 balls)
Arnison 27 (34 balls)

This guy actually has a pretty decent team. Should get up though as my batting is stronger than his. Bowling may be a little ahead too. We did just lose another wicket as I was typing that though. He has a very good spinner on a dusty wicket.

End of Over 36: 168-2, runrate=4.67
Murray 8-0-46-0
Vidale* 8 (7 balls)
Hughes 59 (98 balls)
Last Wicket: Francois c. Beech b. Barat 64 (FOW: 150/2)

Wasn't expected to do this well. Hughes is on normal, I've got Vidale on normal, and Mulvaney due in next on normal, before attacking then very attacking. It's pretty likely that these two and the next bat will close out the innings, so I'm not expecting to crack 250.

Does the ME make your bat's have a hit in the last 10?

Vidale* 30 (29 balls)
Mchugh 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Mulvaney c. Murray b. Gilks 2 (FOW: 217/4)

We do seem to be speeding up a bit in the last 10.

Mulvaney went with Hughes in the space of 4 balls, which I'm not really complaining about. Now Mchugh can hopefully get a few quick runs to get us to 250 and maybe even beyond.

Vidale* 49 (45 balls)
Mchugh 22 (14 balls)
Last Wicket: Mulvaney c. Murray b. Gilks 2 (FOW: 217/4)

So I did end up speeding up considerably.

Vidale batted beautifuly, good to see him stand up. If we can defend this, we're a long way to avoiding demotion. Also Mchugh's quick runs at the end helped out.

Ended up on 318-7. Should be enough. Last time I bowled one of my batsmen by mistake and we still got up by 200+.

They're currently 5/2 after 2 overs.

Northrop* 17 (17 balls)
Briscoe 14 (15 balls)
Last Wicket: Russell c. Siems b. Adri 0 (FOW: 2/2)

Adri picked up a couple of early ones. Provided they don't make any big partnerships, I should get away with the win.

Last Wicket: Osmond c. Gerber b. Baholo 2 (FOW: 24/4)

Very tight game, pending a major partnership I should win this one.

Good effort by my opposition. I have won all 5 contests between our sides, usually with my batsmen dominating. Possibly the opposition playing on GFI this time.

Northrop 38 (47 balls)
Last Wicket: Russell c. Siems b. Adri 0 (FOW: 2/2)

Hoping for Fillery to pick up a few wickets and relieve the pressure on the other bowlers - ATM they're on target to make the runs.

Northrop 55 (77 balls)
Last Wicket: Russell c. Siems b. Adri 0 (FOW: 2/2)

Only just realised my first change bowler - my allrounder - is another spinner. So I play 3 spinners and 2 pacers.

Fillery hasn't rolled the arm over, I've set it to 'b4 (Fillery) finish', so he will probably bowl his 10 straight to close the innings out.

Tedstone 2 (3 balls)
Last Wicket: Briscoe st. Francois b. Adri 53 (FOW: 124/3)

Adri gets a stumping :S

He's doing a top job, keeping it very tight and picking up wickets.

They require over 6 an over, but if they keep wickets in hand for the last 10, anything could happen.

Alexander 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Tedstone c. Lancashire b. Fillery 6 (FOW: 146/4)

Fillery, Adri and Vidale proving that quality > quantity.

My opponent has more profs and strongs than me, while I'm mainly a few resps, a prof or two, then 2 qualities and a superb - and they have been the difference so far.

EDIT: And Fillery picks up his second, Northrop is gone. All but over now.

2 for Lancashire in that over - good to see he will finish with respectable figures in his debut for Killers CC.

Real happy with a convincing win in the end. Gives me bragging rights over my mate, plus allows me to feel comfortable that I can stay in the same OD league for next season.

Put two of my guns up for sale. Yew!

Adrian Simmonds - 29 yo, BT Rating=30,800, Wage=£13,940
An attacking RH batsman and an attacking LFM bowler. He has competent leadership skills and exquisite experience. He has no preference and no trait.
He currently has superb batting form, worthless bowling form and energetic fitness.

Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: worthless Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: wonderful Consistency: quality
Fielding: feeble

Warren Mccafferty - 19 yo, BT Rating=25,602, Wage=£5,828

Neither of these boys going for much. A bit devo, but I guess there's some time left.

Brackenhurst - 205/10 (47.1 overs)
Hamlin 92 (140)
Murdock 38 (34)
Harding 5/29 (8.1)
Mcveigh 3/40 (9)

defeated

Biocontrol Agents - 153/10 (41.4 overs)
Abel 65* (73)
Mcmillan 4/24 (5.4)
Hall 4/26 (10)

Brackenhurst win by 52 runs

Happy with that. They're 5th and we're 6th. Mcmillan's best bowling figures easily the highlight. We've had a very poor first half of the season in One Dayers, but looking to rectify that as we aim to purchase a $10m all-rounder this weekend.

First time for superb's I think. Really happy with the middle order and my bowling in general.

Finally my teams starting to come together after a **** start and some huge mistakes.

Won my game with ease. Always nice to beat a rival who outscored me in every aspect of the reporters summary.

Now need to rest some players to give Jakes team a chance to win on Sunday
