yeah agree. I dunno why there's such cynicism with Muzz. Not including his return from back injury he hasn't lost to nobodies for a while.
one thing, he is now clearly the best player remaining in the draw...i don't think he has been in that position yet in a major (that of being the clear favorite so early in the tournament), let's see how he handles that...that in itself brings some extra pressure with it and he has enough to deal with already just playing at wimbledon in front of an adoring home crowd...i think he will be fine though and having lendl by your side helps...

The pressure is less now he has actually won it though. Imagine if he had never won Wimbledon or any majors.

Still huge expectation on him but the fact he has been there and done it will help him. Federer, Cilic and Del Potro only other Slam winners left and we haven't even completed third round yet. Crazy tournament.

Murray has really tough games in every remaining round, if it goes to seeding. No guarantee he'll even get to the final.

agreed...regarding the slam champs left in the draw, not that big of a surprise considering how the big 4 have dominated men's tennis for the past several years...other than stan, delpo and cilic, who else has won a slam recently outside of the big 4? of the 7, 6 played and 2 lost so 4 left...novak's loss was stunning of course but other than that, it hasn't really been a crazy tournament on the men's side, has it?

Massive shock but Djokovic will probably respond by not losing another match all year and winning the next 3 Slams, so hard to feel too sorry for him.

Murray definitely the clear favourite now, but a final vs. Federer could be very tasty. Think the crowd would be very split on that one with the sentimental cheering for him to win one last Slam. Long way to go.

What a hero

All American players these days are so generic and alike.. big serve+forehand, total lack of flair. In the '90s and before, they were really spoilt with McEnroe, Connors, Sampras, Agassi, Courier, Chang etc.. nowadays they all seem to play like Roddick.

raonic is in federer's half, isn't he? federer getting to the finals in this form remains to be seen...
