AFL advises Richmond FC has been sanctioned $5000 for failing to provide up-to-date player address information to ASADA.

So ASADA has punished Dopemond more than they have Essendon
Sure, if you call $5k a bigger punishment than half your team having no pre-season due to ASADA infraction notices and being unable to run out a game vs. Sydney when 7 goals up.

Always thought the pre-season thing was a cop out. They had a pre-season. They werent banned from the club. They had the same long arse pre-season as everyone else but with an added 10,000 or so match simulation things.

I dismissed it as trash talk when a lot of cows fans said Hinkley would be weaker without Walsh in the box. Looks like they may be right. Tactically you wouldn't say the power have looked sharp this year whilst the adelaide game plan caught the competition off guard early on.

Interesting that Port are getting crunched in contested ball figures with a new midfield coach.
Voss coached teams in Brisbane were historically awful in the same stat.

“The output of Jack Watts stats-wise is a lot greater than Naitanui’s if you take out hit-outs,” said Schwarz.

I wonder if the Dees would take a swap then...ha ha

Two great games tonight

Freo v North (beware the wounded Roos)

Hawks v Swans (Sydney must stand up, or at least not get bashed)

Going scoreless in the third quarter and still winning. Fair effort from my Tigers. Will have to catch the replay.

Given the long rebuild ahead, not sure about the wisdom of appointing a greenhorn

As with Watters, McCarthy, Neeld etc. the footy industry doesnt have the patience anymore for a long rebuild - and hence those unproven guys become very vulnerable to media or player revolt a couple of years in with very few wins on the board

The Blues need a Demons-type set-up (Roos/Goodwin) of an experienced hardhead whose credentials nobody questions to shoulder the early painful years, and a young successor working under him to take over two or three years down the track
