Will be interesting to see where GSW goes from here as Green & Klay should both be on the block

Probably up to Steph
Can't see this squad threatening for a title again - Klay is busted, Greybeard Green can only do it 1in4 and Wiggins and Poole are not going to be second star options behind Steph. Looney's illness didn't help them in this series - he's definitely improved hugely in the last couple of years.

If they figure they can get 2-3 years of top draw Steph, then they need to trade to get a championship winning squad around him.

Draymond is still a great defender and imo it would be a massive blunder if the warriors don't do everything possible to bring him back. He's nowhere near as good as curry but almost as irreplaceable.

Klay and Poole both look awful and if they can't upgrade at very least one of those guard spots they're going to struggle next year.

Didn't realise Lakers just had one player on the court.

LeBron has also lost 3 times to the Warriors.
It really is the worst kind of NBA tweet. Talking about only one player on the team ignoring the ridiculously good supporting cast (the best supporting cast he's had in maybe a decade) . I'd also argue AD was the significantly better player this series than lebron anyway.

Everything else about the tweet is either intentionally manipulated (mentioning 'healthy' so that the Raptors win in the finals doesn't count), or just flat out wrong (Steph Klay and Draymond lost to the spurs in 2013 and the clippers in 2014 in the West and played every game in those series).

It feels like it's all part of this increasingly silly debate over who is the GOAT - MJ or LeBron. Commentators, tiktokers and the general fans are going to more and more extreme ends to justify their positions, driven by SM algorithms, using more and more obscure and dubious "statistics". Ditto for Jokic/Embiid MVP arguments.

I saw an article a while back about these GOAT conversations. Whereas once they were the type of thing for a friendly debate in the bar, they've now become very tribal, almost existential in their nature.

Morant has been suspended by Memphis.

Colorado is an open carry state apparently but don't know what that means for openly brandishing a gun in your car. He's probably more a risk to himself than anyone else.

An all time performance from Tatum but man, what's the deal with Embiid and Harden? Just didn't show up.

Have said this before in detail last time but the problem with Embid's obsession with being a multidimensional scorer is exposed badly in the last 2 games. Why is this dude trying to hop skip and jump to contested mid-range jump shots or three pointers for half his buckets instead of forcing his way to the rim. You don't have to abondon that part of your range but use it as a rare threat and not your primary scoring attempt in the playoffs. Such a waste.

Anyway, Hakeem put this much more succinctly than I can:

Harden stats won't look good but he started the playoffs as the distant no.2 option, went on to be the best player in the first round and put in all-time performances in 2 games this series to win games Philly were not even supposed to win with Embid out/being clamped. He is not even on a max contract this year and more than satisfied his end of the bargain. This one is on Doc and Embid.

His level of accountability should be lower as the aging No.2 option who nobody even expected to ball out for big games unlike Embid and Booker IMO.

You don't need to break the law to be suspended by your employer. They probably had an understanding for future conduct in return for letting him get away with a slap on the wrist last time. It's not fair to other players/employees around the NBA for him to come back to the locker room without consequences and adequate counselling when he is habitually brandishing his gun around like a play thing for no reason. It was a greedy mistake on Silver's part to not just suspend him for the rest of the season last time for mandatory rehab/counselling as was originally being speculated instead of the farcical idea of getting him back after a week of rehab as if it would solve everything.

he is still their no: 2 option...all three of them are accountable for the miserable showing today but end of the day, they lost to a better, deeper team so the result is not all that surprising...doc is a pretty average coach especially under pressure, it took three superstars and rondo, a terrific point guard in his prime with some solid veteran depth for him to win his ring with the celtics...
