Now it's a very hard task for Wellington to find another opener.
Ravindra and Fletcher must be the obvious duo?

That's a shame, what a solid cricketer he has been for Wellington.

I see he's about to turn 37 in a few days, that's a respectable time to call it quits.

Jacob Bhula and Raki Weerasundara in the mix for next year as well. That is if Ravindra goes on to play Black Caps and Fletcher is more suited in the middle order in the long format.

There's not usually 12 good Plunket Shield standard openers around at the same in NZ to go around.

For a domestic team to lose one will always leave a huge hole. Although Woodcock has just had an average season this year.

Was amazing to see the Firebirds post a pic of him on instagram saluting a plunket shield hundred or 50 ... with hair!!!

ND have managed to turn their game vs CD around, I figured that it would taper out to a draw given the score ND racked up but they are running through CD pretty quickly at the moment

    Season ending stats.

Sodhi over took Bennett as top wicket take on the final day. Obviously Bennett's final game was cancelled after the tragedy in Christchurch.

Phillips had a very good end to the season. Getting the 3 consecutive List A ducks in the NZA series v Pakistan was at a very inopportune time for him considering Munro's subsequent dropping from the ODI team.

Sodhi's FC bowling record is now good.

His FC bowling record at Plunket Shield level is now getting into the very good territory (sub-30 bowling average), and trending better each year.

As a comparison. Sodhi is now at Astle levels of domestic competence. Astle has a better NZ A level record (he once took 15 in a match v Sri Lanka A).

    Sodhi's season by season record.
He's been good at domestic level for 4 consecutive seasons now.

Although this season is the first time he's reached 20104 - 2017 Astle levels.
