All Time XI Tournament

That Aus B team is either gonna run through you or you'll score 1000 runs. Thomo + Johnson has so much travel potential.

It's a pity Sims don't account for form....or do they? Surely it would be possible to look at a player's spread and determine Johnson either is a beast or meh.

are we gonna have some kind of tipping/predictor comp to make it interesting? be hard to implement tho
I think predictions could easily work. We could give out points for series result, most runs, highest wicket taker etc. Id prefer that over just picking who will win.

I'd like Australia B's attack a lot more if they had a fifth bowler better than Walters. Neither Thomson or Johnson should be expected to bowl really long spells as part of a four man attack, especially not together. Grimmett obviously can but I feel like having both Johnson and Thomson in the side like that with no genuine fifth bowler would make them used in roles other than what they were actually good at (short sharp spells), especially on Day 1 for example.

Maybe I'm under-rating Dougie's bowling slightly - I knew he had a few wickets at a good average, but his record seems to indicate he bowled a bit more than I actually realised. I still don't think you'd be too keen on him bowling a lot against the other batting lineups he'd be bowling against in this exercise though.

I'll have a think and get back with my vote.

It's been 40 minutes dude, unhealthy amount of time to be spending thinking about this.

Aus B are they only side with a genuine ATG bowler in Grimmett. They also have the best batting of the remaining teams. SA B have the strongest attack of those remaining but England B have a far better batting lineup. So

Aus B
Eng B
