Rahul Sr. is Rahul Dravid? Don't see the need to use Sr. and Jr. to describe them except for your desire to create silly CW memes.

That's as good a reason as any.

In all seriousness I believe it comes from someone mistakenly thinking he was actually Dravid's son at one point. ***** isn't creating the meme; he's just using it.

Haha how can Rahul Dravid's son have the surname Rahul !!!

Will Ricky Ponting's son be called KL Ricky?

Yep, that's why it was funny and became a meme. :p

I believe it was actually at a cricket ground, in Australia. One the CW members (Jono maybe?) went to the ground and heard the guy in the crowd going on about it.

Ah! This has turned into quite an interesting discussion.
Far more engaging than speculating whether the fossilization of MS Dhoni would be complete by the time the World Cup arrives.

I've had it up to here with these CricketWeb 'memes'.
It is bad enough, having grown up people having the compulsion to constantly remind everyone else that they are actually a bit cleverer than they appear to be at first sight; when it is done, parrot-like, using the same stock phrases over and over again, it descends into pathos.

State Captain
Dhoni still helps with tactics in the limited overs games, doesn't he? Just use him as a pinch hitter and keep him in the side imo. Drop him if he doesn't slog and wastes balls.
I feel like Dhoni might be the best ODI captain ever, any country.

A semi specialist vice captain is surely a step too far though

There is no 'road'. When the time comes, you just select the team that is most likely to perform best in the tournament.

Before that, you may want to experiment a bit, so that you have more options; which people may want to call 'the road'.
Road is very much there.
