Singapore was ahead of Denmark in the Div 4 table. This is unfair.

Yes, after having seen that Bangladesh and Zimbabwe will also be playing in the preliminary round, I actually feel that only 2 teams joining the full 8 for the main round is actually less. The tournament will turn out to be a farce if none of them from this tournament plays in the main T20 games..

It gives a group of Associate nations the chance to have a prolonged Tournament against teams that are of a comparable standard - doesn't seem like a farce to me.

But shouldn't the World T20 give an opportunity for them to play against the top teams? They could have just included Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in this tournament instead of having such a long tournament for just having to play with Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

The paranoiac in me is convinced that after 2-3 rounds of minimal interest relative to the big India, England, Australia games, the preliminary round gets chopped off together with the associates who play in it.

It does give them the opportunity to play against top teams, IF they prove themselves as good enough to via the qualifying. I'd much rather this then a series of one-sided games in the main Tournament.

Never happened? Kenya in 03 at the expense of the hosts, Ireland and Bangladesh in 07 instead of India and Pakistan? Can't they just settle with one system (the simpler, the better IMO) and let what happens, happen.

All one-off examples though - proving themselves is more than a one off.

By being too good, I mean the knock on effects of those one of wins i.e. getting thru at the expense of some established name. Like S.A in 03, India and Pakistan in 07

Pathetic from Denmark. 140 run loss is unacceptable. They're not as bad as that indicates.
