    A wonderful article, beautifully written. I enjoyed it immensely, not least due to being a contemporary of the author.

    I think that we need a John Edrich video to complement the excellent essay. And so here we have him coasting to 175 runs (Lords, 1975), and reducing Dennis Lillee to a shortened run-up in the process;
