So although Guptill still doesn't even nearly have a test match technique, it's remarkable how he's now able to turn over the strike all of a sudden.

I'm tempted to say that it's because of Cook's dreadful captaincy.

Either way, really enjoying the running between the wickets.

Haha, about time we have a day like this. NZ luck usually sees those cannoning into the stumps, time & time again.

This is the stereotype in my mind too, probably owing from mid 2000s where we were good at ODIs and England were terrible, however England have justifiably thrashed us in a fair few recent encounters, on account of being just generally better.

Think NZ are improving from the ODI low we've hit in the last couple of years though, where it was our worst format.

Seeing how much turn swann is getting here i reckon nmac will break physics and get negative turn. Somehow.

Good stuff from NZ, but this pitch is a batsman's paradise, so they will need a huge score.

Is that when batsmen play for turn but it goes straight on and beats them despite the bowler trying to rip it big?

I believe they call that the Jadeja these days. "Natural variation".

    Guptill WAG!

Known for his terrible conversion rate as well so back to back hundreds is good to see.

2 hundies against England certainly makes up for his problem with converting 50s against Zimbabwe
