Yeah I'm fence sitting too, although my fence will have metal spikes all across it because the pain from the spikes up the butt will only match the pain of Doherty playing another test match.

Doherty is about 5th in line injury free, and one of the worst spinners in the Sheffield Shield, Invererity is only taking him because of neccessity.

If push comes to shove, it's not out of the realms of possibility that Agar gets a shot, especially if he outbowls Doherty in the nets.

As a few forum members said elsewhere, Jaffer has been robbed big time. Runs rings around Vijay, but loses his place to Vijay.

While I am against picking young players for the national side, if they want to pick a team to win games, Ishwar Pandey should be in the mix. He's followed his impressive Ranji Trophy run with wickets in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. Ishant's fitness is a big risk, so a Test call-up shouldn't be far away, at least as a stop-gap option until the frontline bowlers return to form and fitness.
