First team is a fair way worse than the current one.

I reckon the second could compete but it wouldn't win.

I wonder how the current team would go against both of those teams
The first team would get completely blown away. If Southee was playing, I doubt whether they'd make 100 in either innings. The 2nd team would do OK batting, but it would struggle to take 20 wickets with that bowling attack, unless the surface was fairly supportive.

Wait - did someone just shake McCullum's hand after BJ got fifty?

Proudly against the bring back Bennett movement since he is injury prone and won't last 5 days.

Yeah, looks like the ODI squad just arrived. Elliot and N McCullum were in the crowd as well.

Well if we've found ourselves two bats here in Watling and Brownlie then this tour has some upside to it.

I always felt that you just need 4 consistent performers in your side to be able to score 300 plus

So maybe those 4 can be
    baz
    taylor
    watling
    Brownlie

You need those four to be able to convert to 100s when they get going for that to work though, which Baz is proven to be incapable of and Watling and Brownlie unproven in that regard with a handful of 50s each. There is hope though, that's mostly just because they've run out of partners.
