Have they released Pujara and whichever of Rahane/Rohit they are not gonna play ? Disgrace, if they are made to sit on the bench.

Nobody has been released. "National duty comes first", even if it is on the bench.

Your thoughts on Ashish Reddy? He's one match, four wickets short of Rishi Dhawan's record with the ball, but has done it in the top group, not the bottom. His runs tally is also decent, and also came at a higher strike rate. However, sadly, his team has now been relegated to the bottom. Dhawan appears to be a strong player who's decently fast, but we don't know much of Ashish Reddy- IPL videos show him bowling in the 120s with keeper up, and he dropped a couple of rockets that are normally caught.

People mention Ankit Rajpoot and his impressive record, but I feel Ajay Yadav from Jharkhand, who's played just five games, has looked more impressive on the stat sheet, with a better strike rate. Pity he played just five games.

Yep. It's on ESPN.

Dunno, if it's being streamed though. Is on Willow TV if you have subscription.

Some extremely dodgy batting on display.

Lol @ Jaydev Shah who first hides himself lower down the order and then gets out for a duck.

Just realised Vishal Joshi isn't playing despite taking 9 wickets in the semis for Saurashtra :\

9 wickets and a 50 too in the first innings. Guess they wanted to play a extra seamer and Jadeja was preferred to him.

Abhishek Nayar 940 runs @ 100 and 18 wickets @ 23 this season.

Could be a decent batting all rounder option in ODI's. (Maybe in tests too, if his bowling can hold up at that level).

Crszy, but Mumbai are in line to sweep domestic cricket across all levels - junior and senior. Won U25, Ranji, U16* and U19 finalists.

Jaffer first runs Sachin out and then nearly runs himself out.

From Cricinfo commentary -

Jaffer's feline innings goes on: this is the third life he has received. Six more, and he will have had a cat's full quota

I feel Laxmi Ratan Shukla (20 wickets in 9 matches, 340 runs in Bengal's failed campaign) is a better option because he's a better bowler. Why, even Bhuvneshwar Kumar has done well with the bat so far and is good in domestic FC, and is also a strike bowler. Not that there's much wrong with Nayar, but a strike bowler all-rounder would be a better choice. He should, however, have been preferred over Jadeja, but was subjected to that embarassing towel-boy treatment in his second ODI.

I know him slightly. He was a member here and used to chat with me on Yahoo. Now hard to reach.
