I believe so - there are some common names there:
Washington Adams Jefferson Madison Monroe Jackson Van Buren Harrison Tyler Polk Taylor Fillmore Pierce Buchanan Lincoln Johnson Grant Hayes Garfield Arthur Cleveland McKinley Roosevelt Taft Wilson Harding Coolidge Hoover Truman Eisenhower Kennedy Nixon Ford Carter Reagan Bush Clinton Obama

Are there really 12 decent cricketers among those surnames? I have my doubts.
Therefore, could be unfair to certain participants. I hate to think that someone would end up with an off-spinner from the Local Pub Second XI because they had no choice. Also, Truman is the wrong spelling. How pedantic are we?

Johnson, Taylor, Truman and Jackson all have players, but I think we should do first names of the cricketer as well - that includes Arthur and Garfield as well without checking. If someone could make a list tonight of possible players, it would really help me - unfortunately I'm out all of tonight and most of tomorrow - if not I'll do it tomorrow night. |

"Player shares a first or last name with a USA president", it'll be a lot simpler, but still challenging enough. |

Why would you make a pool of potential players? Half the effort is doing the groundwork yourself.

Watson's Clause: Select a player who has scored a century during a Boxing Day Test Match at the MCG - Not just on December 26th. (Although, now that I think about it, it is possible that there could be 12 good batsman who have scored a century on Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test. But let's not go there unless someone is desperate for homework) Last edited by watson; 15-09-2012 at 05:25 AM. |
