A really important partnership from Berrington and Smith. Still a bit of batting in the lower order, hoping for 300.

Maiden FC ton for Berrington awesome stuff. Talented lad.

I have to say I really don't get the point in Calum MacLeod playing, he is batting 8 and is presumably our 6th bowling option. I would have rather seen a specialist spinner playing.

Looks like the scots are gonna wrap up a nice little routine win here. Now Kenya really can't afford to drop points.

All this rain all over the world has certainly eased the pressure on Kenya. Canada v. Scotland should easily have been a routine win for the Scots and Ireland v. Afghanistan's lost a day. Just as well Kenya's game v. The Afghans has been postponed to September cause the weather ain't much better. Having said that Mombasa's proved to be just as prone to Al Shaabab grenades so it aint that much safer than Nairobi. Would have opted for Nakuru myself.

this bloke's doing alright for himself, on 80* so far, his last first class match was apparently 10 years before he was even born which is also impressive

Finished with 102, it's his f-c debut - whatever you got that from must have been corrected. Two List A matches ten years apart, which might be some sort of record.

yeah they fixed it up, what they originally had was this

    shahbaz.png

    which i found rather humorous

i assume "he" played for lahore in that 72/73 match because it's missing from his teams

Matches sneaking up on me again. I pray that one of Kenya's batsmen discovers the joys of pushing on to massive scores. Kenya 82/3 (28.0 ov, CO Obuya 11*, T Mishra 8*, J Davidson 2/17) - Lunch | Live Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

How on Earth does the ICC expect anyone to take an interest in this tournament if it takes two years for 8 teams to get through 1 round of matches. These yawning gaps are killing the Intercontinental Cup

I've just noticed yesterday was Kenya's 1st ODI win over Canada since at least 2009. Anyway, if we wrap up the second game as convinceingly as the eggs we set up a 3 shoot out with Afghanistan and Scotland for that 2nd World Cup slot with just to two of them to play.

How on Earth do you expect teams to pick first choice teams consistently in an amateur sport if they have more games to play?

I'm not talking about more games. Just eradication of these huge yawning gaps between games. In any case how are associates going to generate the kind of interest in their games, to generate enough revenue to professionalize, if keeping track of these tournaments is such a chore.
