Wahey! Plunket shield starts today! Forget the agony of New Zealand once again blowing a golden opportunity to end their 8 year winless streak away from home, and bask in the glorious future of the sport!

Or something.

Apparently the pitch in the Otago game is a minefield. Athers says the commentators went gaga over Wells's foot movement too. 70 (97) on a helpful pitch.

More injuries. I'm starting to wonder about the standard of medical care and training management in domestic cricket. Last season 20 front line bowlers were out with injury. Still, might just be bad luck.

Friday on fire.

Guy said it was showing variance in bounce and was already showing signs of wear on the radio. The signs of wearing already would be my bet why you'd bat first.

Is Friday on debut? He doesn't have a Cricinfo profile. Looks like he's bowled really well today.

And five catches for the keeper!
