Looking forward to seeing son bowl, to gauge my opinion on him. Since their seems to be a conflicting view on his test credentials from you Aussies since last summer. Even though his recent record @ the SCG made him a must selection for this test at least.

Besides the Aussie selectors? No. Not even the former-player commentators suggested him before the announcement, as far as I heard.

He could have done worse, but someone else probably would have done better.

Why wouldnt you put in a Marcus North or a David Hussey or Brad Hodge. They are far better batsmen who can all bowl well, especially at the SCG.

I still think we should have another specialist bowler rather than a batsman who can bowl. Force the top order to start valuing their wicket more, and give us a better chance of taking 20 wickets.

Hayden probably should have been sent to state level. Why wouldnt you give a batsmen like phillip hughes some experience at international level, especially since this is a dead rubber.

I think they had to give Haydos another go. None of the top order have looked consistently comfortable out there, even the ones who've made a few runs. I've been backing Hayden, but if he can't make anything of the 2nd innings, yeah it's time to send Hughes over to Sth Africa.
