Oldest Test Centurion - Jack Hobbs (Eng) Vs Aus 1929-Melbourne. He was 46y 82 days old. List of oldest test centurions

Oldest ODI centurion - Geoffrey Boycott (Eng) Vs Aus 1979 Sydney. He was 39y 51 days old. List of oldest ODI centurions. Possibly can be overtaken by Jayasurya who pushing 40 and still in good condition.

Haha, bloody hell, I never knew Boycott had made a ODI century at that age.

...and it was his first and last ODI century. Gavaskar also made his only ODI hundred in his 39th year.

Not forgetting that Boycs is also England's Number 1 ODI cricketer - albeit only alphabetically ahead of the 10 other's who played in the first ODI.

    Not just alphabetically.

England batted first and he took first strike. So in every respect he is England's number one player unless one takes the toss into account then the captain Illingworth becomes number one.

Barring injury, I expect Bryce McGain to become Australia's oldest test centurian
