I thought from his post that Goughy was more perplexed with the curious notion that Croft was a better bowler than Tufnell rather than Such.
I do remember reading that being for their second XI though - but it was a little while ago that I read it.As far as I knew, yes, for Dunstable Town.
It's still a hundred, and therefore 70 more than I've ever made. I'm not going to nitpick.I do remember reading that being for their second XI though - but it was a little while ago that I read it.
I think he was dropped on 9 though so it doesn't really count. It's still a hundred, and therefore 70 more than I've ever made. I'm not going to nitpick.
And I said, did I not - Tufnell had all things been equal would almost certainly have been a better bowler than Croft. They weren't, though - Tufnell was an oft troubled soul, which meant there were far too many occasions in his career that he wasn't available.I thought from his post that Goughy was more perplexed with the curious notion that Croft was a better bowler than Tufnell rather than Such.
OK, still confused here. In your opinion was Croft the better bowler than Tufnell? And I said, did I not - Tufnell had all things been equal would almost certainly have been a better bowler than Croft. Of course, Croft was indeed ordinary - Tufnell too was ordinary. Just slightly less so.
