Well England couldn't have asked for more. They will be facing Aus without Warne, and SL without Murali, so i think they might win a match or a coulple in this tour afterall!

I think the cruel Aussies wanted to be sure that England maintain their losing record to 13 in a row.
a) we haven't lost 13 in a row, there was at least 1 draw in there!

b) there was no way before this tour that it could have been predicted that England would have done this badly - even the most die-hard Aussie would agree?

I have heard MacGill mentioned as Warne's replacement for the current Test series - but no word yet re the VB series.

Just a point but wasn't MacGill omitted from the 30??? If so how can they pick him now unless Warne is out?????

If the ACB stays true to form they must pick Hauritz for the VB series as he has been the 2nd spinner for OD matches.

MacGill isn't as tight as Warne re OD cricket yet if they now select him it will say more about the Aussie game plan in preferring to have recognised leg spin as opposed to off spin.....

;)

Hauritz's one day bowling form has been poor of late, MacGill should be the man to come in if they want a specialist spinner. If they want a spinning all rounder id like to see Higgs in there, but Hogg is in line before him id say.

Nah we've belted Katich round but he got some catches on the boundary and Wickets due to slogs that missed...anyway he's not playing in the VB Series...so it doesn't count ;)

Yeah, nice to see Warne out (in the nicest possibly way) but as for Murali.. England have really got his number in the last couple of tours (in SL and in Eng) as a result he has very little impact against us... (Sorry guys just jinxed us again)

WOW, England must get some inspiration from that drawn match, what an achievement!

You are right about it mate, i always thought England would go down even more horribly, but it seems that by drawing a match they have managed to save some pride!

OK, the first part of that post was tounge-in-cheek, but the second was being serious.

He's got to be from India: he has a long and rather odd name and he seems to think England is a laughing matter...what more proof do you need?
