Taylor hasn't bowled in a proper game for months. Played a couple of Twenty20 matches, but wasn't allowed to tour with the 'A' team due to being injury prone.
Mr M,

I know Taylor's figures today arent flash but I think, just by viewing him once, that he's got real potential.

Apparently the reports on him v India were good.

Being our resident WI expert, how do u rate him?

(Sorry if uve covered this elsewhere)

Seems as if Watto has taken a leaf out of Katich's book... how can anyone allow a maiden over to Dwayne Smith of all people!!!!

Top batting by the Australians especially Ponting and Clarke. Cosgrove also very impressive but looks fatter than ever. Katich is a worry, performs the anchor role for ages and is then stupid enough to go for a 6.

WI's feilding and bowling have been rather bad. 16 wides so far is shocking.

Watson GONE!!!

c Sarwan B Smith

Dyane Smith gets his second wicket Landed on a length, and Watson swatted it across the line but straight to the short midwicket fielder.

Watson is a waste of space in the ODI team batting down the order. Katich is a waste of space playing in his current role too.

Damn, Watson gone.

Haddin and Clarke have to stay in here, there's no real batting to come from the tail as per usual with Lee and Hogg.

yep, makes it alot harder for them to win the game, im not sure how they are going for time either, they might cop an additional penalty for that.

That said Australia are playing a batsman short for mine, which might cost them.

Beutiful little edge from Haddin just past the keeper (he probably should have got it though). Haddin would be pretty close to making the team as a batsman for mine, class OD player.

You can really tell the difference in the running between the wickets between Haddin and Clarke - soo much faster then Clarke with Cosgrove and Watson. Watson seemed to be playing like it was a test match.

Clarke's doing no harm to his Ashes chances... albeit a different form of the game...

Seems we won't be losing all that much in batting firepower when Gilly retires if Haddin is to replace him...Just what the doctor ordered after Watson struggled

Bravo to Clarke, OUT, That slower ball does the trick. Released between his thumb and the fore-finger the ball loops in the air and then dips in front of the off stump , beating the slashing blade of Clarke.
MJ Clarke b Bravo 81 (79b 9x4 0x6) sr: 102.53

Taylor to Haddin, OUT, Taylor disturbs the furniture. Two wickets in two balls. Haddin attempted to pull a length delivery hurtling towards the off stump, misses and his off stump is pegged back.
BJ Haddin b Taylor 24 (19b 3x4 0x6) sr: 126.31

Gah, Clarke AND Haddin gone. Hopefully a bit of biffing to come from Bracken and co. though.

luffy

International Captain
Taylor to Bracken, OUT, got his man this time. Fast, full and straight on the off stump. Bracken goes for a mighty heave, the ball squeezes past the bottom of the flashing blade and crashes into the off stump.
NW Bracken b Taylor 1 (3b 0x4 0x6) sr: 33.33
