We can ask how long would we want to see Lara in a team before you drop him or or Richards or some other great.

India find it difficult to replace inconsistent players like Ganguly and Laxman. So first we need to find alternatives for that.

In a team like Australia, maybe 6 months. In a team like india, 18 months from now. Tendulkar wouldnt be too young by then and if he fails till then, time to pack the bags. Would never happen though. For all the wishful thinkers.
