Just won a fairly fierce bidding war to sign this guy for 100K, which has plunged me back into debt, but c'est la vie.

Desperately needed a new bowler that would be able to take wickets and do well in England Div VI. I've stuck him on 1 batting and 1 bowling net as well, mainly to get his secondaries up apart from anything else.

What do you think? Good signing?

At those skills and age I'd say they're too old to be training personally, plus they've a low wage. You'd be better served buying a cheap 17yo (high wage, solid double med would be fine), or someone like this

and using the nets on them. You'll get a much better return on your nets this way. The worthless consistency here isn't as much as a pain as normal because they're an all-rounder so it's less of a problem to give 'em a fielding net. There's a few players like this on the market currently going cheap.

Got to be said, there's some pretty big holes in my batting lineup. Happy with the bowling as all of those are getting nets at the moment but the batting is woefully thin on the ground as only the top four are being trained (though all are within a month of popping so that'll make me feel a little better) and there's no plan to get any more. I shall be relying on getting another bat at the end of this season hopefully with 3m-ish.

Going to get thumped in almost every game this year but at least I can say I've been in the top division and that I'm very definitely fighting above my weight category. Oh well, good fun playing people who actually talk because I've not had that in the Indian leagues so far.

his secondaries aren't going to rise very quickly unless you add a fielding net i'm afraid. but even then, with 3 nets his PFL will be effected so maybe it'd be better to add a fitness net as well.
