Lol, my team suck. It'll only be luck if you manage to score more than 400 and bowl me out for double figures.

Yep, though away teams can do it but won't be penalised if they don't.

I managed to beat them. Somewhat scratchy though. Just watch out for Abdul Kadir.
Legend, lol. How good were those three wickets in one over?

Malik's not too bad either, but he conceded more than was expected of him.

Player of the week
Usmal Jayasuriya (College Dropouts)
In the College Dropouts' tight win over the Vindscreen Vipers, one man proved the difference - Dropouts opener Usmal Jayasuriya. Opening the batting for his team, Usmal hit a fluent 183 not out, off a mere 142 balls, in an innings that included some 20 fours and 2 towering sixes.

Team of the week
AA for President! (Group A)
In what was tipped as a whitewash, Marc Robbins' troops rallied behind their manager and defeated the highly rated, highly paid Asterix XI. Choosing to bat first, AA for President! made a modest total of 261 on an uneven pitch, with youngster Gaz Verde hitting a mature unbeaten 85, before bowling out the star-studded Asterix XI batting lineup for a meagre 207, with Verde once again shining with 2/28 off his full 10.

Best effort
Victoria Panthers (Group C)
Mike Wilson's Victoria Panthers, led by inspirational skipper Gareth Drummond, took on a highly favoured Whenuapai CC at Airbase Road. Bowling first, the Panthers' bowlers struggled to take wickets, and in the end Whenuapai CC posted a solid 1/329 off their 50, the only positive being Clark Hook's 10 overs going for just 42 runs. Chasing 330 for victory, the Panthers were impressive in bursts but never seemed like to reach the total, slumping to 238 all out from 48 overs. Ganfield, Wight, Malcolm and Drummond got starts but all failed to pass 50, as the batting was strangled by precision bowling from the likes of Jim Mutasa and and James Holmes.

Despite losing by 91 runs, the Panthers performed well above their expectations and can take many positives out of the game. They face the Bushpigs next round, who are coming off a clinical victory over Scaly Piscine CC.
