good news everyone, ian healy has some comments

    Healy welcomes back Haddin
Indians can't bowl - Where has the rumour come from as I myself and many indian friends arwe competent fast bowlers ?

With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left

    More of the same

Harris injured, Starc making a slower than expected recovery, no word on Patto and Bird, Cummins unsighted - we are ****ed

Well I didn't expect Harris to be injured before the tour, given his usual recovery time he must be a huge doubt now.

Bl**dy Johnson's going to end up in the squad isn't he? Australia somehow can never manage to be rid of him. Don't do it selectors. I'm begging you!!!

Overall though, I like the 30. I mean, judging historically, it's sh*** and it's England's Ashes to lose, but it's certainly a lot more credible than the rabble that was picked for India. Smith was unlucky though. I like him and am hoping he steps up in the future.
'It is hard to recall a batsman quite so serene, so unrushed, so unflappable.' Chris Ryan on ... look to the left. Ahhhh.

A decent squad from the selectors. Glad there's no MJ or Maxwell. 1 day in and Harris is injured, oh boy. England can't be worried about our bowlers. Odds on they will see more physio tables than batsmen.

MJ isn't even in the A squad (but he will probably be in the champions trophy team at the time) so I would say Chadd Sayers is ahead of him in the que

I hope benchy wasn't banned for anything to do with our head to head. Disagree with the ****, but all in good fun from my point of view.

And yes Harris, ice up son and stay fit, Starc recover from the surgery, Patto Sidds and Bird no running with scissors. We don't want any Johnson call ups thanks very much.

The Ashes 2013 : Faulkner prepared for extra batting responsibility | Cricket News | Australia in England - The Ashes | ESPN Cricinfo

Faulkner certainly seems to have a good technique and his temperament seems OK too, I'd love to see him succeed at 7 which allows us to play 4 frontline seamers along with a spinner.

The fact that he's not in the A squad is really inconsequential because it's only for players not in the ODI team. Not saying Sayers isn't ahead of him but I don't think the A squad is really a pointer to that.

What is the state of play over Cummins?

Is he likely to be fit, would be a better selection than MJ if Harris is a non starter.
