Group E (Super 8) - Pakistan, South Africa, New Zealand, England

Bit of swing for Sami first up, but if he bowls them as short and wide as that last one to McCullum it's all for nought.

& follows it up with a very wide one that gives Akmal no chance for 5 wides.

Why was Asif dropped? Injury or one fears for the mental capacity of the selectors.

Guptill all at sea against spin. 1 from 8 currently.

EDIT: 2 from 9 but reckon he'd have been gone if Afridi hit. Keeps strike too.

2nd EDIT: & holes out to long on. Shot born out of the pressure of not scoring. Not the worst thing for NZ tho, frankly.

Spinners doing a real job for Pakistan here. 51/2 off 8.1 currently.

EDIT: Ha, commentator's curse. McCullum slog sweeps a short one for four. Ooops, but goes trying to repeat the trick. Huge. NZ in strife, tbh.

2nd EDIT: Skipper in at five. Interesting.

Ha, Jesus. Jaffa from Sami first up and Taylor goes. Gutsy change from Afridi, cos Sami had been gash until now. 58/4 off 9.2. Eeek.

NZ lose here they need to become SA fans for the rest of the group and hope for a 3-1-1-1 win split with superior NRR.

Ajmal to bowl through here now, I'd guess. 16, 18, 20. 88/4 off 14. Given Vettori reckoned 160 was par NZ firmly in the mire now.

Ha, but that's helped. Styris smacks the skipper back over long off for six then pulls him through the covers for 4. 98/4 off 14.3.

Ooops 98/5 as he chops on. Back in the mire.

I don't think NZ will quite reach 150 Athlai.

Love watching these two teams play, you just never know what is going to happen!

114/6 with two left. McCullum needs more strike; Vettori's too inflexible a batter at this stage. Only got the sweep against spin really.

McCullum not picking Ajmal's throwsra.

Vettori gamely sacrifices himself in the vain search for a second that was never there, really. & McC ends it with a Dorothy. 133/7.

Be massive for NZ to win it from here
