These haven't been very competitive of late, Younis clearly better than Viru and don't think it's particularly close.

A record as good as the greatest openers in test history doesn't prove his point?
A record which is at best* equivalent to Gavaskar and inferior to Hobbs and Hutton (convenient 5000 cutoff to exclude Sutcliffe) in the easiest batting era of all time.

*lower century rate than any of those 3, lower 50+ score rate than them, highest duck rate easily amongst them. Lets not even get into how bad he was outside the SC (avg 34)

Wow what a loser
at best (on pure average) ignoring all the other things, which is apparently convenient to do lol.

If you actually think Sehwag has a comparable record to Gavaskar you’re on something good that you should share with the rest of the forum.

Highest duck rate lmao. Try harder.
Maybe its just me but I prefer a batsmen who gets out for 0 less often. Gets a duck almost as often as he gets a ton.

He merely posted the overall career numbers and they literally are comparable.

Everyone with a brain knows that with proper context it's not as impressive.

I wonder how no other opener scored 5000+ runs at @ 50+ against Test standard sides in the easiest batting era of all time 🤔.
