Why can't they use slow motion cameras for run outs.

I don't think it's an unreasonable question, really. The super slow-motion cameras should be used for runouts, as they are more effective. Obviously cost is prohibitive, but eventually the better technology should come into use.

In the last couple of series we've been seeing fewer and fewer images of a batsman striking the ball or a bowler's release and instead are seeing more and more crap shots of Lee showing off after taking a wicket or the Australian team in a huddle, so we've already started losing the 'great' images...
I agree with that. In the 2005 Ashes, Channel 4 did a proper job on it, getting great shots of Warne releasing it, Strauss's bat vibrating in his hands when Lee hit the handle, Ponting getting hit on the head :laugh: and many other ones.
