Miller and Lindwall played one more, all a very similar amountIs Hutton a certainty? Only played 9 years in this time.
Sobers ahead of Trueman?Hutton is a given, then Miller and Sobers are also given, then Trueman and Lindwall. Really wanted to sneak in Davidson and Compton but failed.
Uhm, Yeah obviously, Sobers ahead of every person to play Cricket not named Sir Donald BradmanSobers ahead of Trueman?
Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. No one is ahead of Sobers during that period.
Off-field legacy can enhance a reputation, but greatness is built on performance.being a great cricketer isn’t always about the cricket
Worrell was a great performer tooOff-field legacy can enhance a reputation, but greatness is built on performance.
Yes but not top fiveWorrell was a great performer too
Yeah, the time period stuff can really throw a spanner in things.I have an interesting conundrum. Whilst I rate Davidson above Trueman, for this poll, I would be more likely to vote for Trueman over Davidson if that was the choice. Specifically because if I think about the question “who was the best over x time period?” Total output/longevity over that period becomes a bigger factor to me. Does that sound reasonable? Or am I being crazy and self-contradictory.
