He missed 10 matches during his career. 7 of these came in his two series after his debut series. I’m presuming he was dropped for those, though that may have been early career injury?Did Walsh suffer injuries? Can't recall.
That's pretty good for a long career. He missed 10 matches during his career. 7 of these came in his two series after his debut series. I’m presuming he was dropped for those, though that may have been early career injury?
He also missed a match in the 1988 Wisden Trophy (still early enough for him to be dropped on form probably). He also missed a match in the 96/97 series against India. He also missed a match in the 98/99 series in SA.
The last two were likely injuries. In both the latter two events it was a match in the middle of the series, so clearly no major injury.
Someone more familiar with Walsh and his career can confirm or deny my assumptions. That's pretty good for a long career.

Trevor Bailey bowled 116,659 deliveries at slightly more than a trundle and then spent most of the rest of his non-bowling time clogging up an end with the bat. Endurance was a different beast back then.Fred Trueman apparently bowled 99,701 FC balls, not bad for a guy who was extremely fast for the majority of his career. The Greyhound Brian Statham managed 100,955 FC balls. Alec Bedser managed 106,062 but of course, being a 120s pacer helped vs Statham (135+) and Trueman (140+).
Sensational.Trevor Bailey bowled 116,659 deliveries at slightly more than a trundle and then spent most of the rest of his non-bowling time clogging up an end with the bat. Endurance was a different beast back then.
Played nearly 200 more FC matches than Bedser, but only 80 odd more than Trueman.Sensational.
Typo. Was 1990.Did he?
Walsh did suffer a few injures and missed matches.Dev: 48853 FC balls and 14947 LA balls
Walsh: 85443 FC balls and 21881 LA balls

Well built and durable. Too bad he only got picked against SA. Did dominate them though. Also, here's a guy with over 150,000 FC deliveries. Right-arm mediums. https://www.espncricinfo.com/cricketers/alex-kennedy-15858
Can't say I've heard of the guy before, but crikey he put in a decent shift in his career!
He had injuries in the middle of several series: India 94, South Africa 1998, etc. But i can't recall anything that kept him out for any length of time.Did Walsh suffer injuries? Can't recall.
