I would have thought he meant Karthik as that is how he is known generally.

Sky always does a brilliant job and with Broad in there now it’s even better. Even the less than stellar guys who sometimes join end up lifting their game a bit.

Time for my regular rant. Anyone but Eoin ****ing Morgan. The likes of Morrison and Hayden are awful and cringe, but at least they're trying to be entertaining. Morgan's ****ing boring, talks absolute waffle, takes forever to say nothing and does that incredibly irritating thing where he puts emphasis on random words where it's just not needed. Awful commentator.

On the positive side - give me Athers, Nasser, Butcher, Mel Jones, Sangakkara and Broad and I'm happy.

Yeah Karthik and Broad are very good, with the polished professionalism of Atherton/Hussain/Butcher being noteworthy.

In the past - Benaud, Cozier.

Of the current old guard - Nas top for me. Athers insightful but on the smug side for me.

Broad, McGrath showing promise. Also like Mel Jones.

As a national commentary team, NZ are the worst. Too jokey, as if they're actually trying to be another random lads with a mic podcast.

Broad has grown on me throughout the Eng v India series.He gives an upto date insight which is quite interesting.

Pujara is million times better then sunny amd ravi but i thought same about dk and once he joined star sports jokers he became crap(altogether quite good on sky maybe because of nasser and athers) need to keep him away from star sports jokers

Surely no doubt that Broad wouldn't be a good pundit. He's smart and knows and reads the game well. A naturally good communicator and telegenic. He'll probably take Ward's job eventually.
