Which cricketers have obtained a new highest score the most times?

Cricketer Of The Year
The 6-9 was his 4th Test (though the first where he took wickets); more to the point it was demonstrably not a match-winning performance...

Basil Butcher had an odd career as a bowler; he only bowled once in his first 30-odd Tests (0-17); then took 5-34; bowled a few more (wicketless) overs in the second innings and the next match; then only bowled once more in his last 11 Tests (0-6).

Other occasional bowlers with a 5-for include Kraigg Brathwaite (18 wickets in 58 Tests including 6-29), Denis Compton (25 in 78 including 5-70) and of course Allan Border (39 in 156 including 7-46)
Dunno if it's been mentioned, but Rod Latham took 11 ODI wickets including a 5-for against Australia (fair dismissals too - M.Waugh and S.Waugh, Boon, Border and Dodemaide) and 3 against England (Botham, Smith and Lamb). His other ODI wickets were Botham, Moody and Craig Evans (Zim). Pretty incredible stats for a guy who bowled in 21 ODIs and took wickets in 5 of them.

Love it when two established bats have their highest score in partnership.

Yasir with his 7th, Abbas with his 8th.

How has Kohli done on this metric so far? Think his double centuries have all been progressively higher than previous or something like that?

Thanks Noofers... Think you missed adding that 254 to the right there for Kohli. But yeah fair chance he will increase it even further too.. :)

I definitely think Kohli will add 1 or 2 more high scores before his career ends. Dunno about 400 though!!

Think with this bowling attack, there is a definite possibility of a few more 250+ scores where he declares and that is why I feel he will do this few more times. :)

Zak Crawley started 1,4,25 and is now 27 not out.

What's the record for a new high score in consecutive innings? That'll take some getting.

Shakeel Ahmed jnr improved his best in all 5 innings he batted in his career.

I know Maddinson improved his best in all 4 too.

He pissed it off when he went and made 40. Should have nicked off at 29 or something and made a nice little 35 in the second dig. Who cares about test series when you can win Nuffers' thread hands down.
