Whatmore steps down as KKR coach - likely to be appointed as the Pakistani Head Coach

Black_Warrior

Cricketer Of The Year
coached Bangladesh 2003-2007 the only time Bangla reached WC 2nd round was under him also had a couple of good stints in English County Cricket.
Bangladesh beat India and South Africa and lost to Ireland in 2007.

Bangladesh beat England, Ireland and Netherlands in 2011.

There isn't much between them in my view.

The improvement in Bangladesh in the form of players like Tamim, Shakib, Mahmudullah all happened from 07 onwards after Siddons took over.

Also, Whatmore has a first class batting average of 33..not sure how he would be as a batting coach..

On the other hand, Jamie Siddons is a highly respected coach and cricketer in Australia..considered one of the best cricketers never to play for Australia..and has a first class average of 44.

You don't have to have a good average to be a good coach. Watmore is probably someone who has studied cricket and therefore knows about technique and so on.
