Considering Viv is from a semi professional era and might have been one of the few good players in a sea of crap, and likely just played against posh plumbers, farmers and nepobabies. What do you think he would average if he played his cricket in the modern era? and not the flat 2010-2015 section, but the spicy 2018-2025 period. Let's say he plays three for the West Indies and plays every Test match.
I think he will average over 40 but below like 44, would be regarded as one of the best in the business but not quite Fab four level. Not all that close.
What would Bradman average if he played in a typical (i.e. neither batsman or bowler favored) period of the modern era (1970 - current)?
