On West Indian pitches, in that batting lineup, against the Dukes ball??

High 30s before "retiring" from tests at 25 to become a T20 superstar.
So for those who believe Richards to be a mercenary. He was given a blank cheque to go to South Africa and he refused.

He was dedicated to WI cricket and bled maroon.

What lacks today.

Only way to make them bleed in a particular color is to disband WI, and let nationalistic attitudes take over the roles of collectivity

yes take a team who is really bad and split them into even worse collectives.

the wicb is the only competent board in the region. i can't even begin to imagine how shambolic it would be allowing the regional boards organise international cricket on their own.

Yes and No. WI team is not "really bad". They have a lot of talent and currently they are being gobbled up by IPL with so much of ease. Even though teams are weaker, they would work well as a unit due to common factors. Surely some of islands will go in to oblivion. At least it will save cricket in Guyana and Trinidad at least. At this pace, cricket will be gone from the region in 25 years.
