Oh Brother. Viv Richards, not even close.

Viv failed in his first Pakistan tour, the flat one with weak bowling but once Imran came to his own by the end of the 1970s, Pakistan in the 1980s and 1990 made some extremely spicy wickets for the West Indies, not sure why, I remember @subshakerz saying something along the lines that it was the dream to defeat West Indies so maybe that's why they made wickets that could lead to any result and aid their bowlers massively.

80s Windies in Pakistan wickets: 18.84
Recent India in South Africa wickets: 21.09

the South Africa stuff is for reference.

in the two 80s Pakistan tours, notable Batsmen averaged...

IVA Richards: 53.90
MJ Miandad:
31.23
CH Lloyd:
21.20
CG Greenidge: 26.40
DL Haynes: 25.30
HA Gomes: 29.73
RB Richardson: 29.60
AL Kalicharan: 16.00

only other batsman with a 35+ average is Wasim Raja with three not outs, Viv's RPI is 49, second best is Ramiz at 35, followed by Javed at 31.

Viv's record against Pakistan of the 80s (the one everyone rates) is absolutely bonkers in context.

Yeah this isn't close at all. Pakistan is probably the weakest country Tendulkar toured in.

Again, great Viv points.

The point is this is getting stupidly specific

Not enough a sample size for Tendulkar

Richards was amazing
Well
Viv has just one more inning than Tendulkar in Pakistan
