Wait until Smith retires. For me, I want to see him succeed in another series in SA and I might put him ahead of Viv.I am still undecided between Viv & Smith.
Lara belongs in the same tier as Sunny for me.
Lara was a bigger genius and reached a higher peak whereas Sunny was much more consistent and had more success against the greatest of fast bowlers.

How much longer would he have to go to meet a minimum time played for you?Viv>smith>lara. If smith ends up retired with 55+ average he would be best since bradman
Hooper and Waugh both earned their keep elsewhere.
That is both impressive as hell and an indictment on how poor some of his support was at times...Players to score test centuries when no other batsman from their team has scored 50 or more:

If smith opened in bgt instead of coming @4 he would have averaged single digtsThis inning disappointed me the most.
He was looking ominously good in the first hour, and I was expecting a glorious hundred. After that glorious straight drive to Southee, I was be like "Yeah, now nothing can stop Smith from scoring a hundred."
But by the end of the series, the whole world started to believe that Smith was really done
Great hundred on a horrible wicket.I love ball by ball highlights
