Ok due to what seems to be lack of interest, due to unrealistic results etc, i have decided to scrap the VB Cup for this season...

I am taking suggestions as to what, if anything will replace it next season.. if you have any ideas let me know ASAP so we can look into it...

Maybe a 50 over knockout competition which starts as straight knockout. And just randomly draw the teams.

It'd be pretty easy to do and you could do it on the new sim.

IMO, the VB Cup should've stayed as a knockout. It went from a 5 games thing to a possible 12 game marathon. It was made to big and suddenly became this massive thing. If it was kept small it would have been better...

Yeah I liked it cos I was winning to haha..
I'm for the 50 over a side knock out... but I really hate it when VB Cup takes up a whole week!It means a whole fortnight before a REAL comp game's played

Good call Blewy. I've always disliked a 25 over format and would much prefer a 50 over knockout as I've indicated many times previously. The VB Cup showed the VCM4 sim at it's worst.

I concur with the others a 50 over knock out comp would be good. This could be run during the season. Top two sides get the bye into round 2 etc. The new sim could handle it making it easier for the simmer.

meh the only comp i had any chance of winning :'(

may as well have a 50 ove knock out comp than...

I don't see why we don't finish this season off - there's still a few teams interested in it - and what does it hurt?

I'm sure there'll be someone willing to sim it.

Play 4D on the weekend and 1D on Wednesday. This would reduce the season to 10 weeks and perhaps not seem as long to those managers who get disinterested with losing all the time.

Not sure if this will make more work for the simmers...just a thought.

hey i enjoyed it also , and there was never a problem with me simming the games, blewy just decided to stop it.!
