I don’t think it makes that much difference that he’s missed so much, I think this game will do him then world of good in terms of getting back to match sharpness, and besides, he took the year off before winning it in 2013!

Until he won it 2 years ago, Brecel had never won a match at the Crucible…now after barely winning a match since then, he might win it again!

Ronnie and Brecel both just need the one frame to make it through, Ronnie played well enough, but Brecel was absolutely scintillating, not bad for two players, one of whom was on terrible form this year and one for whom he literally had no form these past few months
Zhao-Wakelin—Zhao has been playing well all throughout his campaign starting in the qualifiers, but so has Wakelin, fancy Zhao to nick a close one
Higgins-Williams—neither in sparkling form this tournament, but both have been around the block so many times, think Higgins is the slight favourite
O’Sullivan-Si—think Si should play a bit better than his last 16, but it’s still a tall order to topple Ronnie
Brecel-Trump—the highlight of the round, should be an absolute cracker, gun to the head I pick Trump, but if Brecel plays like he did just now he could win and win easily!
