Cloete
International Captain
With the closure of the transfer window comes the opening of the first ever European Football Manager season.
Teams are due in on Tuesday by midnight Australian Eastern Standard Time (+9 GMT I think).
Everybody needs to have read through the rules and produce a faultless teamsheet. Everything you need is on the site, the site is also the place to submit your team sheets. These can be submitted via the "Submit Team" link on the left hand site. To make it easier though, just click here! Simply read the instructions on that page to make sure you know what you're doing.
The second thing people need to do is send an e-mail to the EFM address containing your unique 3 letter code! This code needs to be added at the front of your teamsheet name before you upload it. So if you manage Real Madrid and you choose a code of 123, instead of submitting rlmsht.txt you need to submit 123rlmsht.txt. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CODE TO ANYONE ELSE! As this code will be used to ensure it was you that submitted your team's sheet. Send all the e-mails to efm @ cricketmail . net
The site will be updated after every game and all I can say is CHECK IT! Tharmi and Sean have been doing and will continue to do a great job with it. One thing to note though, is that when a player is injured for say 2 weeks that actually means 2 games. Same applies to suspensions, weeks = games. So after 2 games your player will be back from injury.
The last thing you need to know is that EVERY team's FIRST HOME game will be a sell-out. This is because of the amount of interest EFM has generated for people in Europe. Hopefully by now everybody has checked the fixtures, if you have you will notice that some teams have 6 home games while others have 7. TEAMS WITH 6 HOME GAMES WILL BE ABLE TO ELECT A DESIGNATED SELL OUT ANY TIME DURING THE SEASON! That means, at any home game (apart from the first which is, of course, already a guaranteed sell out) a manager can specify a sell out by posting in the specific thread ("Designated Sellouts"). This can only happen once in the season and, as was aforementioned, can only be used by teams with 6 home games. Just a tip, look at the bottom of the scorecards to see your attendance for that match, these are based solely on league position.
That's about all! Good luck to all managers!
Regards,
The EFM Board.
