Right, but my post was based on dispelling that myth by pointing out that this was his role even when that wasn't his home ground.
Held the record for the highest individual score in WACA grade cricket. Might even still hold it?

Edit: Still does. 285 in a 2 day match.

Bevan chasing down an impossible target, shepherding the tail against the might of the Windies was incredibly exciting. His run chases are some of my strongest memories of that era due to how exciting they were.
The Windies were a three-man act by the time Borevan made the team.
