After a string of bad results Manchester United boss Xavier Rose has stated that he still has faith in his current lineup. He however made it clear that a poor result in the next game could see some drastic changes. Saying that, with a wry smile he also hinted that thise changes may come for the next match instead!!!

Yeah, losing to Juventus is not the kind of thing you want to be doing heading into the final weeks. :p

PSV Board Gives Fitzsimmons Vote of Confidence

The PSV Eindhoven board of directors today gave under pressure manager Simon Fitzsimmons the dreaded vote of confidence. They Announced that he will remain in his position as head coach for the time being and that there are no plans to look for a replacement. Some may see this as good news however Fitzsimmons has angrily hit back and said its a well known fact that no one lasts too long as the vote of confidence.

With his side suffering their 7th straight defeat last night the board have had enough, the season started promissingly with 3 wins and a draw in the opening 4 games, however the side has failed to pick up a point since then and the pressure has continued to mount. It has been said a win in the final match of the season could save his job, however another loss could spell disaster for the under fire manager.

Porto will travel to Bayern Munich for the final game in the lofty heights of 11th out of 14, a win at bottom club Munich could see the minnows climb as high as 9th, whilst defeat could leave them 12th or 13th. Three consecutive 0-0 draws are testiment to the defence, the last clean sheet acheived without the phenomenal Rosencrans, who also misses the final game through injury. Goals have been lacking though, with Rex looking like the only threat.

Porto will be looking to the academy to bolster next seasons squad as they try to keep up with the powerhouses of the european game

Arsenal end the season with a solid performance against inter in which they were unlucky to draw and not come away with all three points, the season has been satisfactory for arsenal, and despite no huge sucess being achieved progress has been built with the aquisition of several new young talents and an expansion of highbury. Henry Pearce has been given full support by the board as they wish to see his progress with the side continue well into the future, the arsenal team is already looking forward to next season. On a side note it has been revealed that arsenal have begun negotiations with several new players in their pre-season recruitments although the identity of the player hasnt been revealed he is believed to play for one of the other british sides in the league.

Arsenal have also released a statement declaring that they will only sell their star performers, of Henry, Grazinho, Vieira, Campbell, Pearce and Cole if a "Super" bid comes in, they are also reluctant to sell a great deal of others, however they will listen to bids for those who are surplus to requirements at highbury.
