This is a quote by one of Wisden's commentators on the Aussie
bowling attack (minus McGrath and Gillespie).
"Jason Gillespie is their only bowler of genuine class; Nathan Bracken's effectiveness is limited to the new ball and Andy Bichel, despite his spirit and energy, is no more than a honest blue-collar worker."
He may have a point about Bracken. David Hookes recently echoed similar sentiments when he felt that Matthew Innes had more stamina than Bracken. In the Gabba test, Bracken wasn't overly threatening after his first spell.
Virender Sehwag may be Bracken's bunny but I don't think the Indian middle order was too concerned with him.
As for Bichel, well he had a complete off test -- he bowled rather poorly.
I'm just wondering whether picking Bracken for tests purely on the basis of his ODI form was such a great idea.
