Australia Test

Bob Simpson
Don Bradman
Ricky Ponting
Steve Smith
Allan Border (c)
Steve Waugh
Adam Gilchrist (wk)
Ray Lindwall
Alan Davidson
Shane Warne
Glenn McGrath

Not a Lillee or O'Reilly doubter, this team just has stupid depth, so I have to separate players based on attack balance and secondary skills.

Australia ODI

Adam Gilchrist (wk)
Mark Waugh
Ricky Ponting (c)
Dean Jones
Michael Bevan
Michael Hussey
Shane Watson
Mitchell Starc
Shane Warne
Nathan Bracken
Glenn McGrath

Best Australian Test XI I have seen

Mathew Hayden
David Warner
Ricky Ponting
Steve Smith
Michael Clarke
Steve Waugh (c)
Adam Gilchrist (wk)
Shane Warne
Ryan Harris
Pat Cummins
Glenn McGrath

Tbh the seconds of just those I've seen is pretty powerful as well. Here it is.

Australia Second XI I've seen

David Warner (c)
Simon Katich
Mark Waugh
Damien Martyn
Michael Hussey
Shane Watson
Brad Haddin (wk)
Mitchell Johnson
Jason Gillespie
Josh Hazelwood
Nathan Lyon

Warner skipper for the meme. Shane Watson given the chance to be the great allrounder at #6 he always should have been.

So, all time Australian Test XI:

1. M. Hayden
2. W. Lawry
3. D. Bradman
4. R. Ponting c
5. A. Border
6. S. Smith
7. K. Miller
8. A. Gilchrist wk
9. D. Lillee
10. S. Warne
11. G. McGrath

ODI XI:

1. M. Hayden
2. A. Gilchrist wk
3. R. Ponting c
4. M. Clarke
5. M. Bevan
6. M. Hussey
7. A. Symonds
8. S. Watson
9. M. Starc
10. S. Warne
11. G. McGrath

That ODI XI is just phenomenal! I could probably add in another 2 -3 guys in some of those positions. Wow!
I like the idea of Hayden and Lawry batting together as I reckon they’d complement each other.

And why not bat down to 8? If McGrath, Lillee, Miller and Warne can’t bowl a side out then no one can.

Crazy depth in that team.

McGrath and Warne probably enough to bowl teams out, add in Miller who was very good in Aus and Eng, with Lillee's pace. I can't think of many XIs that could handle that let alone beat it.

Miller was great in Sa with the ball and averaged over 40 with the bat.In the only tour of Wi of 5 matches,Miller scored around 450 runs at an average over 70 and took 22 wkts at 32.An ATG performance indeed.

Symonds is only the sixth bowler in that lineup. Very unredlike.
