Bit of an oversight but Shoaib Malik averages 35.14 in tests so I am picking again. I am picking Nick Knight instead.

Pretty happy with my picks. Have seen all of them play cricket instead of stats surfing obscure 19th century players and I have got 3 FC triple centurions in the line up: Knight, Jaffer and Fairbrother. And I even have arguably the 3rd best wicketkeeper of the century and Sinclair, a guy with 2 test double hundreds too.

Please those 1800 players weren't stat surfed, if anything their stats are poor to qualify for this. People read the write ups about them, which is fun

Since I have two spinners (three with Duminy) in my lineup, I'll boost my close-in catching to hax levels

Eknath Solkar

XI:

Percy McDonnell
Joe Darling
CK Nayudu (5)
JP Duminy (6)
Eknath Solkar
Mike Brearley (c)
Abdul Razzaq (2)
Syed Kirmani (wk)
Arthur Mailey (3)
Mohammad Zahid (1)
Chuck Fleetwood-Smith (4)

I think that's all right. Batting all the way down to 8, great captain, two decent pacers, one genuinely great early era spinner and some nice backup options.

Cricketer Of The Year
Tom Hayward
Andrew Hudson
Geoff Howarth (c)
Russell Endean
Paul Sheahan
Dwayne Bravo
Jeffrey Dujon
Daniel Vettori
Ishant Sharma
Danish Kaneria
Chris Martin

I'm very happy with my team. I believe only 4 eligible players reached the 200 wicket milestone and all 4 workhorses are in my team. Hayward was a great golden age batsman and is supported by Hudson and a solid, experienced middle order of Howarth, Endean & Sheahan. Bravo is my all-rounder who can contribute with bat and ball. Vettori means I bat all the way down to 8 and forms half of my spin tandem with a big wicket taker in Kaneria. Holding it all together is one of the great keepers in Dujon, who bats as well as most of our middle orders at test level.

Yeah Had him in mind but forgot about him at some point. I should start using sticky notes for my random thoughts again.
