Test series scheduling sucks

Not sure what everyone thinks about the current test series schedule series over the last few years and currently but I think it’s needs some fixing. Now I know England, India, Australia have the most power with it and money. And Covid has affected some teams travelling.

But with them going with a test championship now on, I think it needs fixing. Firstly you got countries having 4 or 5 tests series against each other while other countries have 2-3 tests series with each other, I know money has to do with this but surely there’s a way to fix it.

Then you have countries facing each other more often than others and countries not travelling to other countries as often for a series. A few examples would be India travelling to Australia twice for a series and Aus haven’t been to India since like 2017. Or England facing the West Indies so often and Australia haven’t faced then in like 5 years.

What do people think of it? For me I don’t feel that the test championship is that big when you got some teams playing more matches or harder series or whatever compared to other teams.

Australia is an odd one...they were part of the Big Three but have been pretty poor at organising any series other than Eng or India. ABysmal actually, and dont really feel like a big three financially any more. Like a puppy at the table.

Other teams have done well, I liked the schedules that Pak and NZ have kept up for example. The WTC has opened up to a lot more series, although we're yet to see Pak v India.

Aus has really been affected in going away since covid and are getting back into it. I doubt we’ll see an India vs Pakistan test for at least another 20 years. Unless somehow they both make the final, cricket australia has put out the idea of a tri series for odis in Australia between the 3 countries though which I think would be a great idea.

Yeah if Australia weren't touring at all this year I'd be concerned but it's a weird complaint considering we're visiting Pakistan and Sri Lanka

Has that idea been officially floated? Might actually bring back some popularity for ODIs
