Test Match strategies

Out of interest, what batting strategies does everyone use in Test Matches on ICC3?

I've traditionally started on 0, and gone up to 3 with each bar of settledness, stopping at the 3 marker. On bad pitches I stay on 0 until 1 and a half lights are up, go to 1 at that stage and then to 2 when 3 lights are up. In crisis scenarios I stay on 0 and dig in! I rarely go above 3 in any situation.

ICC3 seems to play differently to previous versions of the game so I'd be interested to know how other people are playing Tests.

Oh, and I'm playing the normal version of the game, obviously - not the easy one (does anyone even bother with that?)

if i'm wickets in hand and looking to set a total i'll turn it up high and just smash as many as possible, often do that rather than declaring as well.
