T20 Blast 2025

All this talk following "some of the best players in the world" getting home or back to the hotel at old Trafford at 4am and then playing again less than 12 hours later with two of them then getting injured. Are cricketers more or less likely to have hamstring problem if they played more than the odd T20 game? Play the game more often to get and keep fit surely?
‘Managing’ players hasn’t seemed to work so well has it!

Heroic knock from Cillian Murphy who hits an unbeaten first career T20 ton to take Surrey from 16-3 to 224 to beat Glamorgan, finished in some style with a huge six

Watched Lancashire Yorkshire, good game. Thomson is a really clever bowler but it came down to fielding in the end with the ball flying in the air all night. Lancs out down 5 or 6 while Yorkshire held all but one.

Sun stopped play at Canterbury. Again. As its timing is predictable, perhaps start times could be staggered so that the difficult period falls on the interval between innings.

1st vs 2nd later in the Northern Group

Durham off the back of a under par batting effort against Notts and Lancs with a pasting by Bairstow.

Think we will probably have another nosebleed today this close to only our second home QF ever. We've badly missed Raine from a bowling perspective and NZ nicked Foulkes also a miss.

We do get Bedders back from international duty however. So hopefully he could be a big boost.

Suspect Buttler and Salt will have a fun time of it later!

Still possible that the top 6 sides in the North group all end up with 32 points.
Currently:
Lancs 32 from 12
Northants 32 from 13
Durham 28 from 12
Warwickshire 28 from 13
Leicestershire 24 from 12
Nottinghamshire 24 from 12

What price:
Notts to play and beat Worcestershire and Lancashire
Leicestershire to play and beat Durham anad Yorkshire
Warwickshire to play and beat Derbyshire
Durham to play and beat Northants but lose to Leicestershire
Northants lose their last match against Durham
Lancashire lose both their last two matches at Yorkshire and Notts.

This week finishes it up for now

my lads are on sky Tuesday and it’s a must win, if we are to get top four

Sun is out but the outfield is sodden at CLS for Durham and Leicestershire

the odds are there will be more rain

they can have a five over game starting at 9pm

Durham abandoned. Winner of Durham v Northants at CLS will have a home QF.
Leics can still qualify but need a win against Yorkshire and Warwickshire to lose to Derbyshire their last games. Neither Yorks or Derby can qualify.

Assumes all games played to a result. (Northants will get home QF if abandoned).

Yes tomorrow although tonight is your last game and you are doing Durham a big favour at the moment.

Now thanks to you even if lose against Northants tomorrow we should all but guaranteed top 4 now.
Top 4 is more or less guaranteed.
Lancs 13 - 36 home qf now guaranteed even if lose
Northants 13 - 32 play Durham 13 - 30 winner claims home QF. Loser still qualified.
Warwickshire 13 -28 play Derby unlikely not to qualify but cant be at home in qf. But if they lose can be caught by Leics 13- 26 who need to beat Yorkshire and hope Warwickshire lose.
Notts would need to win really big with Leics and Warwickshire losing so they would then equal the latter on 28 but would need a huge NRR swing.
Worcester have finished their matches (ETA: but they could still qualify on NRR if Warwickshire and Leicestershire both lose with a NRR swing.)
