Abdul Younis currently on his career-best score vs Moooo in a SOD friendly. 66* off 71. His previous best was 65 in a Dev friendly. Only has 8 50+ scores prior to this one in 159 innings across all formats. 20 years of age, so about time he starts churning out the runs

And as I type this he's been runout for 67. Lol.

To go with my wonderful day of been hammered in all my friendlies... I have a total of 5 pops... lowest I`ve ever had!
Seems like Moooo had a rougher day on the field:

TMO have started well chasing 225 vs FHK. Good knock by Tony Chung but needed another batter or two to go big, feels below par. Tiffany Yuen playing as 5th bowler today, her 10 overs will be interesting.

I note the infamous run out did some work for me! Nice from de Klerk. Chaseable target... see if my day get end on a high.

An excellent Peter Sutherland century today. He made 122 off 80 balls with 11 fours and 5 sixes batting at the number four position. I set him only on an aggression of 5, and yet he still went mad.

Anyways, it’s his highest score in 50-over format.

In other FHK/ZCC news, legendary new-ball bowler Bikswing Nouding is set to move on from our clubs to greener pastures. At 30 years of age it is expected that he'll take up a groundsman or coaching role at his new club, which atm is likely to be Bartley Rangers out in Oceania - who actually play in the same SOD league as Jura CC, and the same Dev league as AXW!

In his time with FHK he has taken 42 wickets in 17 SOD friendlies at the ridiculous average of 12.43, with an economy of 3.19. The joys of being a green pitch/new ball specialist heh. Not as good in the 4 T20 friendlies he played for FHK, with just 4 wickets.

was a thrilling finish in the end! Haran Thundayal 61* off just 50 balls seeing TMO home after a collapse from 188/3 to 217/9! Needed 37 off 54 balls when Davidson was dismissed, ended up getting there with just 1 wicket and 8 balls to spare, Haran hitting a 4 to win it. Great game.

Some positives to take away for FHK fighting hard to defend that low score, two wickets for Tiffany Yuen but a bit expensive; suggests she's not quite ready to take on 5th bowler duties yet.

Was a good game... unfortunately management commitments meant they did not see it live. (Desperately needed sleep!).

The TMOs continue to need help with their batting though, bowling does most of the heavy lifting. I suppose that is fitting for a SA supporter!

What’s the min POT that you’ll entertain to consider a player as a prospective player worthy of development?

I’ve got 4 bowlers 16-18 with POT of 44+ so I give them as many opportunities as I can. But I’ve got a 17yo bat whos 30(40) and I don’t know if it’s worth it?

With AXI I have a small squad and who plays is mostly simple. With AX-W I give games out willy-nilly.

AXI have five guys who are real prospects (Simmonds, Ludlow, Kaiser, Zahid, Butler) but also a few guys who could hold their own if I developed them (Murdoch, Dee, Darnell, Roopak). Interestingly, all these guys are homegrown. Need some good players to arrive on the TM!

To answer your question, it really depends. It doesn't hurt to have a solid squad where you know all your players, or to not know whether one guy is really a first XI player till they're 21. I think a 30 (40) is generally going to be a good Dev player but nothing more, though they can be solid performers if well-developed.

In somewhat related news, the prolific Tinozivaishe Zikhungwini is on the TM.

Min 40 pot for a spot in Dev squad, 43 pot to get training. Core players that I can build a squad around must be 45 pot.

Whatever it takes!!!
I just realized that I used a field of 1 close in catcher 6 in fielders and 2 outside the circle entire game and have been using this every bloody game. :( And as I figure this out, the site is blocked at work. Back to trying to change this in the little time I get at the home laptop. I guess I do have the weekend though, so will try.

I did change it but is there a way to set it over by over or at least block by block, or is it just a setting you give for an entire game?

Okay so we have finished on 332/6

More runs than I expected. Meyiwa with an awesome 130 off 129
Mike Warfield channeled his inner Peter Sutherland and made 81 off 50.

I am very optimistic that Moo can defend this 333
